My
life as an artist is lived moving forward but only understood as I look
back. After 35 years as an artist, my art has taken me to Europe, an
exhibition in China, studying in California and New Mexico, and
obtaining a degree in Ohio where I continue to live.
Now I devote my life to big dogs and big art. My studio is in two barns
on the grounds of a 135 year old nursery. My art is in many public and
private collections, and I have exhibited throughout the United States.
Working in painting, printmaking, photography, metal and wood allows me
to experiment with different materials, techniques and ideas. My
current paintings are about harmonizing color. The collage paintings
bring in my past work in printmaking, drawings and photographs with
found materials. It is all for the purpose of bringing the viewer in to
consider the world in which we live.
We only pass this way once, our lives are short, art is long – so embrace it all.
