Nancie Warner
Her education in New York and Florida supplied the techniques and knowledge of design, relationships, color mixing and perspective which made it possible for Nancie Warner to release her creative flights of imagination.
Ms. Warner exhibits an astonishing spectrum of subject matter, always rendered with respect but with a kind of quirky viewpoint. She stands alone in her distinctive output, her keen eye for the slightly off-balance, obtuse, even charming though somewhat pixilated and absurd sense of relationships.
Exhibited in galleries and museums from New York to Louisiana, from Florida to Texas, Ms. Warner peoples her work with distinctive observations. She has an incredible ability to capture peculiar moments in time and suggestive combinations of flight and fancy.
Her work has been published in Harper's Magazine, 1998 and 1999; New American Paintings, 1998; and New Orleans Magazine, 2000. She has received major awards in The Woman's Caucus for Arts, Artstravaganza 95, Cinco Banderas, the Pensacola Museum of Art, LaGrande National, the Wiregrass Museum of Art, and has been honored with several one woman shows, plus grants from The MacDowell Colony and the Peterborough, New Hampshire Winter Residence.
With a rare, utterly charming and provocative piquancy, Nancy Warner produces unforgettable ART!
