Currently a professor of fine arts and head of the art department at a major university, Mr. Thomas took bachelor and masters degrees from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. 

Always innovative and provocative, Mr. Thomas is currently working in experimental areas using metal printing and metal plating of inks and paint media.  His arresting results pique the imagination, draw the viewer into a decisions-quandary, unable to be instantly classified or to observe readily recognizable forms.  The unique combinations of colors, sizes and shapes once again force the viewer of one of Mr. Thomas works of art to reach within to find something comparable in the viewers' experience.  It remains a visual and intellectually fascinating exercise to brew about the interpretation of what is being viewed.  The works are never still.  The works defy instantaneous classification.  The works defy formula appreciation.  The works defy ready comparisons.
