Always innovative and provocative, Mr. Thomas is currently working in experimental areas using metal printing and metal plating of inks and paint media. His arresting results pique the imagination, draw the viewer into a decisions-quandary, unable to be instantly classified or to observe readily recognizable forms. The unique combinations of colors, sizes and shapes once again force the viewer of one of Mr. Thomas works of art to reach within to find something comparable in the viewers' experience. It remains a visual and intellectually fascinating exercise to brew about the interpretation of what is being viewed. The works are never still. The works defy instantaneous classification. The works defy formula appreciation. The works defy ready comparisons.
The future is always an exciting area of exploration for the artist Thomas. Although he plans carefully, crafts meticulously and frees himself to "go wherever the muses drive me," he remains himself curious about the next result, the next experimental road towards which he travels with carefully planned abandon. His works are never quiet -- they always seem to convey movement and a sense of strain, a wish to throw off confinement and burst forth with new life and abandonment.
There is something arrestingly active about all Tom Thomas' works. They vibrate. They smite the eye with action. They excite the eye and speak to the soul.
