I find myself inspired to capture that which I experience in the moment, an internal reflection of what I am experiencing within. This is what I pour onto the frosted mylar in the form of color and movement. The translucent dance of color, motion, and fluidity are key in communicating my contemplations.

I paint abstractions of landscapes, portals and thresholds to communicate those momentary happenstances of emotion. Recently, using the same painting technique, I began painting abstractions of figurative landscapes, resulting in a new direction in my work.

Living in a world that is full of over-stimulation and constant information overload, these works represent a delicate simplicity of form. They, as well, create a sense of serenity and calmness within the context and complexity of abstraction. Whether expressed through the medium of watercolor acrylic paint on frosted mylar, most of the work exudes a sense of fluidity and lyrical calmness to soothe one’s soul.
